Midseason premiere leads to a larger world
Now this Sunday we’ll finally get to witness the sh*t hitting the fan at the Alexandria Safe Zone. And producer Greg Nicotero revealed that the mid-season premiere will feature the survivors in a major battle with those zombies. Glad we get to see them blown to smithereens by the rocket launcher. (Walkers are fooled by the unpleasant smell and therefore ignore them).

And after Deanna’s (Tovah Feldshuh) death, it will be up to Rick to save Alexandria from a grim fate.
Last summer, spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead put a proverbial magnifying glass to an entirely new side of The Walking Dead mythos, showcasing the beginnings of civilization’s zombie apocalypse breakdown. The trailer for the season 6 premiere teased that Rick and Morgan would be at odds in the coming season. “Rick is very pragmatic”. It looks bad for her, but I still don’t think it’s her time yet. It’s been two and a half long months since the show’s last episode aired, leaving us on a cliffhanger of epic proportions.
BOTTOM LINE: You will not want to miss the opening three minutes.
This also means that fans will not complain about the “inactive” hero in FTWD. In general terms, Rick and the other characters are going to discover what AMC describes as a new reality with new dangers and opportunities, but “to claim their place in this newfound landscape, the group must become the threat themselves, as terrifying as any of the adversaries they’ve encountered”.
-Father Gabriel takes Judith to safety.
That decision will lead to tragedy on TWD Season 6, Episode 9. There’s quite a crowd of zombies to get past, however. Imagine our relief to learn that the only deaths in Rick’s group are those of Sam, Jessie, and Ron. Michonne avenges the shot and without hesitation, sinks her katana into Ron’s chest, thus ending that whole family within seconds. And Carl will fall into a coma after being shot, but he will wake up at the end of “No Way Out”.
The new world comes with a price. So who will die on Season 6 of “The Walking Dead”?
Though most of the cast members are tight-lipped about where the story is heading, Andrew Lincoln, a.k.a. Rick Grimes, shared something that might give the viewers some ideas to expect from their beloved thrilling TV series. If you weren’t extremely excited before, you definitely will be after watching this nail-biting promo.
If you’re anxiously awaiting The Walking Dead’s arrival but are fighting hard to avoid spoilers online, a spoiler-free preview is what you need.
