Mike Pence accepts GOP nomination to be VP
After Trump introduced his running mate – in a much shorter statement than the one he gave Saturday – Pence thanked his patron and added: “I’m convinced what begins in Cleveland will end in the White House”. Pence pointed to Trump’s kids as proof of Donald’s moral character. Pence will speak at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night.

“On the world stage, Donald Trump will lead from strength”, Pence said, saying his new partner would confront radical Islamic terrorism “at its source” and rebuild the military.
The protesters, who said they were part of the Revolutionary Communist Party, chanted “America was never great” as they tried to light the flag on fire.
Rubio, who butted heads with Trump more than any other primary candidate this spring, encouraged the party to unite after the rancorous and prolonged primary battles.
“Ted Cruz said you can vote your conscience for anyone who will uphold the Constitution”, he said.
The helicopter – also adorned with TRUMP – landed at 2:19 p.m. Trump embraced his children, then walked and chatted with Pence en rote to a speaking stand.
The GOP vice presidential nominee stepped up in an electric atmosphere in the Quicken Loans Arena shortly after Texas Sen. He says that under Trump, change in the country will be “huge”.
Last year, Pence signed the Freedom Restoration Act, which lets IN residents reject members of the LGBT community by citing religious reasons.
“They will put our safety first, and they will defend America first”, he said. NRLC President Carol Tobias responded, “With a solid pro-life voting record on abortion during his time in Congress, and through his pro-life actions as Indiana Governor, Mike Pence has proven himself to be a strong and outspoken leader for the right-to-life”.
Gov. Pence didn’t reach out to voters that Republicans need. Most of the speeches, though, were full of crowd-pleasing attacks on Clinton, the media and Trump skeptics in the GOP.
Pence is using the speech to tell his life story. He was overshadowed by Trump during his rollout event in NY where he spoke just half as long as the real estate mogul.
Their first joint interview, on CBS’ “60 Minutes”, came off equally as awkward as Trump dominated the conversation, and was followed by reports that Trump had second thoughts even after his pick was made. Trump surrogate Chris Christie also took aim at Cruz: “I think it was bad, selfish”.

Many in the hall were equally effusive about Pence’s speech.
