“She called these patriotic men and women every vile name in the book”, Trump continued. Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine hit Pence over the exchange at a campaign event in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Tuesday, saying, “If you can’t call it out and you stand back and you’re silent about it, you’re enabling it to grow, you’re enabling it to become more powerful”.
Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence is reminding people that the father of Omar Mateen, the terrorist in the Orlando night club massacre this year, attended a Hillary Clinton rally last month and spoke positively of her campaign.
Pence is in Washington ahead of meetings with Capitol Hill Republicans on Tuesday.

“Hillary Clinton did not apologize for insulting millions of people”, Pence told Blitzer on “The Situation Room”, calling her speech at a fundraiser “intentional” and “forthright”.
Pence’s interview follows Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment, for which Trump has called for an apology.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is in Baltimore Monday to speak at the National Guard’s annual conference. Pence endorsed Cruz in the crucial in primary, where he serves as governor. Since dropping out, Cruz has declined to endorse Trump, citing personal attacks the billionaire businessman has made against him and his family. “We have said that we do not want his support and we don’t want the support of people who think like him”.
He declined to answer questions on whether Cruz would endorse Trump. “He’s a strong conservative. She divides people into baskets as though they were objects – not human beings”, he said.
Pence praised the nominee and told Fortenberry “give your daughter a hug for us”.
“I doubt you could have a better spokesman for someone than Mike Pence”, Corker said.

Rep. Joe Crowley of NY said there was “not a single question or reverberation” about Clinton’s health at a meeting Tuesday of House Democrats.
