Mike Tyson’s ice-cream grab explained

Said the unnamed worker, “I was like, “Are you serious?” You get used to people taking care of all the little things in your life often enough and maybe you just don’t spend much time thinking about how it looks to some random dude at a Ben & Jerry’s kiosk when you walk up, grab an ice-cream bar and walk away without paying for it.

Tyson, 50, allegedly took it to the stand inside Arthur Ashe Stadium as he walked through the Club Level area before Novak Djokovic took to Stadium Court to win his first-round match against Jerzy Janowicz in four sets. “Run after him?'” the worker told the Daily News on Tuesday. But he also knew that he was Mike Tyson, and no one would stop him, because that would be like trying to pull a gazelle from the mouths of lions in the African savannah.

On the plus side, the boss should be happy to have an employee who isn’t going to let something like this slide.

Mike Tyson attended the US Open with his daughter Tuesday and demonstrated he has such a sweet tooth for ice cream that he’ll do anything to get it, with little regard for effect.

Mike Tyson once said that if he reaches for the stars and misses, he’d grab a handful of clouds.

Eventually, someone from Tyson’s camp returned to the kiosk to pay for the ice cream bar.

“It shows his character. Mike Tyson is not the most upstanding citizen”.

But Tyson’s publicist, Joann Mignano, offered an explanation.

“There was a misunderstanding”, she said.

“Mike got the ice cream and was going to have the host pay for it as he was running around with his family”, Mignano said in a statement.
