Mike Zimmer makes an odd announcement about the Vikings’ quarterback situation
Bradford will have been with the Vikings eight days when the team takes the field against the Titans.

The Minnesota Vikings won’t have their first round draft pick in 2017. Spielman touted the extra selections the Vikings have in the third and fourth rounds in 2017, an opportunity to move back into the first round if a particular player inspired them to do so. Zimmer said he will tell the team when he has made his decision.
Losing star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to a sudden season-ending knee injury was a huge blow and sent shock waves through the Vikings nation.
Sunday of the Week: Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles, 1 p.m. ETSunday of the Week II: Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. He said he’s getting more comfortable each day.
In the past, the team has found a lot of success in first round draft picks. Combined with one of the best run games in the league and a stingy defense, they are once again poised to make some noise. Zimmer will keep the fantasy geeks guessing while he and offensive coordinator Norv Turner deliberate and decide.
Well, it’s the biggest starting quarterback story.
Hill initially was earmarked as Bridgewater’s replacement. Now, Bradford is back in Minnesota for the first time since that family reunion and doesn’t deny he’s been “thrown into the fire”.
Starting receiver Charles Johnson said after Wednesday’s practice he’s been practicing more with Hill this week than Bradford. So unless it’s scrolling across the bottom of that, then I’m probably not going to see it. When I watch TV, I watch Disney Junior.
No whining. No pining.
Vensel: It was a hard one to get over for sure, just given how they lost.
“I stay right in my lane”, he explained. “That’s just the way I’ve always approached it and that’s the way it’s worked for me”. The Vikings admitted earlier this week that they still do not know the full extent of Bridgewater’s injury and the amount of time it will take to recover. Everson Griffen really had a great camp and he had double-digit sacks the last two seasons. The Vikings won the NFC North last season with a record of 11-5.
Entering his second season in Minnesota, Hill knows the Vikings’ offense.
“They wouldn’t give up a 1 and a 4 to have a guy sit very long”, he said. Mularkey should be in a straight-jacket.
Zimmer’s sleight of hand with the depth chart provides a competitive advantage; that is to say, Tennessee now has to prepare for both Hill and Bradford.
Conspiracy theorists are staring right through the big picture.

Zimmer’s decision to hold off on his decision means that the Vikings are now the only team in the National Football League that hasn’t yet named a starting quarterback for Week 1.
