It was the first game for the Midshipmen since they beat Army and coach Ken Niumatalolo chose to stay at Navy instead of taking the head coaching job at Brigham Young.
Good things are in store for the program moving forward, but I’m going to side with Reynolds being the x-factor in this game and leads the Midshipmen to a win. Georgia Tech averaged almost 10 yards per carry and had three rushing touchdowns.

A fast start quickly soured as Pitt had no answer for Navy’s offense in the Military Bowl today, losing 44-28 to the Midshipmen and ending coach Pat Narduzzi’s first season – largely a positive and encouraging campaign – with a thud. The Navy Football Tailgate Show on WNAV 1430 AM will air at 12:30 PM, while the Navy Football Pregame Show with Pete Medhurst, Omar Nelson and Joe Miller will get underway at 1:30 PM, followed by game action beginning at 2:30 PM on the Navy Radio Network. That Pitt was able to put its season back on track given this loss is a testament to the character of the team and the system in which they play.
Pittsburgh Panthers rank at 70 for scoring 28.3 points where as Navy Midshipmen rank at 26 for allowing 21.3 scores. The Chippewas play Big Ten teams frequently, defeating Iowa in 2012 and Purdue in 2014. This group of seniors finished with a 36-16 record, tying the Class of 1909 as the winningest in school history. Minnesota is in this game because not enough teams reached six wins to fill all the bowls. The Gophers are one of 13 schools with three or fewer seniors at the offensive skill positions – quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end.
