A second millionaire on “The Millionaire Matchmaker” in less than 2 months has been charged with brutalizing a woman… and the latest one was so bad, the guy was arrested for attempted murder.
John Bonavia was arrested on September 12, after police responded about 1 a.m.to a disturbing the peace call in the 200 block of Spalding Drive, Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said. After police forced their way into the residence, they found a “battered and bloody” woman.
The 62-year-old also was charged with three misdemeanors for alleged possession of ecstasy, cocaine and GHB, prosecutors said.
While conducting their investigation authorities concluded that Bonavia had assaulted the female victim who was later transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries she sustained by the Beverly Hills Fire Department.
Sadly, this isn’t the millionaire’s first brush with domestic abuse – J.B. was arrested in 2014 for violently attacking his then girlfriend.
A “Millionaire Matchmaker” contestant has been arrested.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline at the time, Bonavia’s former lover claimed her boyfriend ripped her shorts and bit her back and the side of her face.
Six months later, he was arrested for being drunk in public. While Bonavia was choking her, according to the papers, ‘he repeated over and over again, “I’m going to kill you tonight”‘.
