Customers who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Pre-Order Edition will not only have immediate access to Black Ops III starting at 12:01 AM Friday morning, but also access to the Digital Personalization Pack which includes custom weapon camo, reticles, and calling cards as well as the Nuk3twon Map.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be released on November 6th.
That is more than most active multiplayer games feature now, and Black Ops II is three years old and isn’t on new generation consoles.
The single player takes place in 2065 and is focused on special forces soldiers that are enhanced using both genetics and tech, fighting behind enemy lines in a new worldwide conflict, trying to find their friends and to take down an evil conspiracy. Treyarch‘s target for a closed alpha is March of 2016, so a full release will likely be made available a little while afterwards.
Fast forward a couple years, Activision and Treyarch have apparently chose to revisit the twin-stick shooter and a Dead Ops sequel has been confirmed to be included in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
One of the small joys in this age of day one downloads of every console and PC game is, if you want to play the game right when it goes live at midnight, you don’t have to leave the house or even put on trousers.

This might be a long-term problem when it comes to sales because the install base of modern platforms while growing very fast is not yet as big as that of older devices.
