Milner: Liverpool struggled for belief before Klopp
He has a remarkable 4 domestic goals in his 4 sporadic appearances for Liverpool, as his injuries have kept him out of the team for the majority of this season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no interest in Newcastle counterpart Steve McClaren’s current difficulties but has warned his in-form side to be wary of the trip to St James’ Park.
Manchester City headed back to the top of the Premier League last week during a 3-1 win over Southampton.
Liverpool, whose struggle for goals had become seemingly endemic at the tail-end of Brendan Rodgers’s reign, have found the net 14 times in their last four away matches.
The results have grown ever more impressive, with high-scoring away wins over Chelsea, Manchester City and Southampton, and Klopp’s record now stands at seven wins, three draws and only one defeat (at home to Crystal Palace) from his first 11 matches.
“Of course he felt each muscle after the game, that is normal because it was intensive, but in this moment he is available for the weekend and we will see”. But if you don’t have it, you can get it easily back if the other team give you the opportunity to do this. “We have to be prepared”. “I will never forget the scenes, they were incredible”, said Milner. “We expect to win the game”. “There were fans hanging off lamp-posts, whole streets rammed black and white and it took us 15 minutes longer than it should have done”.
The absence of Coutinho is offset by the returns of Sturridge, who scored twice in Wednesday’s 6-1 demolition of Southampton in the Capital One Cup, and Henderson.
It’s probably fair to say Klopp’s made a bit of a difference.
Lallana has failed to score a goal or tally an assist in any of his recent matches, and consistently remains anonymous for crucial spans of time throughout matches. Daniel Sturridge coming back is going to boost them if they can keep him fit, and with what Klopp brings and how the team play, they have to be up there’.
And does Klopp’s preferred pressing style require more work or does a famously energetic tracker and runner like Milner not notice the difference?
“If anyone thinks will be easy, I’m not interested in that. We have to see how we do this”.
“If you do it once you can ignore it, second we have to talk about it, three times we have to change immediately”.

As for Newcastle, they have mounting injury problems to contend with as Mike Williamson has joined Jamaal Lascelles on the sidelines with a hamstring injury while midfielder Cheick Tiote is out with a groin problem.
