Milo Yiannopoulos, Larry Wilmore go head-to-head on ‘Maher’
A guest on Bill Maher’s talk show has dropped out because he discovered Milo Yiannopoulos would also appear on the show.

Friday night saw the ‘interesting” spectacle of two self avowed provocateurs, Bill Maher and his ‘impish, faggy, charming’ guest Milo Yiannopoulos politely sparring on HBO’s “Real Time’.
Maher didn’t see it that way.
Maher: Exactly! If I banned everyone from my show who I thought was colossally wrong, I would be talking to myself.
In the 11-minute interview, Yiannopoulos was his usual horrendous self, insulting almost every woman that came up in conversation and claiming “mean words on the Internet don’t hurt anyone” (really?). “I’m kidding”, he chided. “Because you sound very confused”.
The conversation moved towards the role of unfiltered humor in society.
“Liberals will continue to lose elections as long as they follow the example of people like Mr. Scahill whose views veer into fantasy“. “The Democrats are the party of Lena Dunham”, he declared.
Bill Maher Milo Yiannopoulos HBO Real Time. Maher seemed to get Yiannoupoulos’ schtick, but said he should “get off the Trump train”, because of President Donald Trump’s recent attempted controls on free speech. Slammed by criticism from the Chicago Review of Books and others, Simon & Schuster said it doesn’t condone discrimination and said the book is about free speech.
But Yiannopoulos didn’t take any real heat until he met Maher’s other panelists.
The real fireworks, however, came after the broadcast ended and the discussion continued online during “Overtime” when Yiannopoulos claimed that being transgender was a psychiatric disorder, asserting that trans people are “disproportionately” involved in sex crimes. And no question: Maher and Yiannopoulos do indeed appear to be in lockstep when it comes to Muslims. “You need to start inviting higher-IQ guests”.
“Hold on, hold on, you can go f-k yourself”, Willmore said to roars from the audience.
“And one last thing, Leslie Jones is not ‘barely literate.’ Go fuck yourself again for that one”, Willmore added bluntly, again to raucous cheers.
Later, Nance asked Yiannopoulos whether he was American, when he answered in the negative, Nance, with a big grin, responded, “Oh shit, fuck off”.

But Milo Yiannopoulos is many bridges too far. You get to say whatever you want and allow your friends to do likewise, but when it comes to someone offering commentary which hurts your feelings you can always exercise the option of being a gatekeeper.
