Milwaukee cop knew suspect he fatally shot

The Milwaukee cop who fatally shot Sylville Smith has been identified as a two-year veteran of the force, acquaintance of the allegedly armed suspect and an amateur rapper who once said “Imma start a riot like it’s Baltimore”.

-“Now y’all see his face if he’s seen anywhere in the city drop him”.

Many posts contained threats against him and a photo.

Numerous news outlets replicated that information out to a much wider global audience beyond social media, using the excuse that “well, that information was already out there”.

“They’re here making him look like he’s some hoodlum or villain”, said his cousin in a Facebook video.

I refuse to make that same choice. Officers later recovered 20 bullet casings from the scene of the shooting.

In a Tuesday interview with the Milwaukee blog Breaking and Entering, Dae Flywalker confirmed Heaggan-Brown is KB Domo, and said he had known the officer since grade school. The gas station that went up in flames, the Beast points out, is owned by a family of emigres from India.

CNN says it regrets leaving out a woman’s call for violence in the suburbs of Milwaukee following the fatal shooting of her brother by police in the city over the weekend. “You knew exactly how my brother was and you shot and killed him”, Smith’s sister Sherelle told FOX6. “He didn’t like my brother”.

A letter from Chief Ed Flynn to the commission showed Heaggan was promoted to officer in August 2013 and was initially assigned to recruit trainees at the agency’s academy. “He used to harass Sylville”.

Violence erupted in Milwaukee on Saturday following the shooting of 23-year-old Sylville Smith.

Both on their website and televised on CNN Newsroom Monday, CNN described Sherelle Smith as “calling for peace”.

Heaggan-Brown is then said to have shot Smith, but police body cam footage which is supposed to back up their version of events has not been released into the public domain. He chose to run from police.

“They’re going to protect the officer”, says Criminal Justice Expert Brian Dorow. They conveniently left out the rest of her message, calling for protesters to burn down the suburbs. She said they in no way want to complicate the Department of Justice investigation. I don’t wear it, but we need it, ‘ Sherelle said.

The bulk of the media, sadly, seems to see profit potential in putting lives at risk and encouraging the fanning the flames of hatred and division.
