Milwaukee police officer who shot Sylville Smith identified, threats follow
Many posts contained threats against him and a photo. On the side, Heaggan-Brown also had a music career performing as “KB Domo”. They knew each other.

According to Sylville Smith’s sister, Sherelle Smith, the officer – who has not yet been named due to threats against him – reportedly went to the same high school as Smith, Fox 6 Now reports. They were aware his identity was widely known and being distributed, along with threats against him. He has been an officer for three.
Attorney General Brad Schimel says he seeks to complete officer-involved death investigations “expeditiously” so the community gets answers.
The unrest in Sherman Park after a fatal police shooting Saturday appears to have mostly abated, but the social media communication that helped fuel it has, if anything, intensified and focused on the officer. No power we give our government is greater than the use of force, even in self defense, and citizens must know that this authority is being used according to the law.
The man killed in a police shooting that sparked two nights of violence in Milwaukee suffered from cognitive and mental health issues, and he carried a gun because he had been shot a couple of times in the past.
A report that aired on CNN on Monday only included Smith condemning the violence. The video of the incident has not yet been released.

Milwaukee police deleted the viral post amid heated comments as Facebook users pinned Smith’s death on Heaggan-Brown and threatened to have the embattled officer killed, while others simply shared troubling encounters with the patrolman. This is another reason why it is important to know our police officers by name. That was the primary point of the story.
