Today Minecraft developer Mojang announced that it’s creating a new version of the game tailored specifically for gamers in China. In fact, in order to celebrate the launch of the world-building game in China, the Minecraft creator is now working on a special version of the game that would be tailored specifically for Chinese players.

“We’ll always embrace opportunities to bring Minecraft to new players around the world, widening our community, and giving us a new perspective on our game”, said Mojang CEO, Jonas Martensson.
In a blog post on the company’s website, the studio confirmed that it would license both Pocket and PC versions of the game to a NetEase Inc. affiliate in mainland China. The game’s PC and Pocket versions are coming to China; Minecraft: Xbox One Edition launched in China previous year.
If you’re in China and are upset that Minecraft is not available for you folks yet, Microsoft has some good news to share. A console version will not be part of the release, and it’s unclear what changes to the game will be made or if any specific content will be removed.
He continued to explain that thanks to their “deep understanding” of the Chinese market feature their ability to successfully launch world-renowned online and mobile games, they will be able to offer a strong platform for the introduction of Minecraft to China’s vast user base.
