The Story Mode is also now available on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam. For users who are new to the game, “Minecraft: Story Mode” has recipes ready to help them along the way.

The stellar voice cast is led by Patton Oswalt as male Jesse and Catherine Taber as female Jesse.

The four “Order of the Stone” members will be voiced by Dave Fennoy as Gabriel the Warrior, Corey Feldman as Magnus the Griefer, Grey Griffin as Ellegaard the Redstone Engineer, and John Hodgman as Soren the Architect.

Heavy on atmosphere and fun, the game works well for both adults and kids, but is certainly geared towards the simplicity of the Minecraft target audience.

Minecraft remains one of the most popular video games in the market right now, which has even created spin off books, merchandise and reportedly an upcoming movie. If players are unfamiliar with the Minecraft recipes, the game also provides the recipes so players can progress.

You play as Jesse, a relatively “newbie” player, as he and his friends are about to attend the local “Endercon” – part fan convention, part building competition. “Terror is unleashed, and you must set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone if you are to save your world from oblivion”, the synopsis continues. But, as only the first chapter of five promised, it feels incomplete. I’m not sure if this is a positive or negative, but it was a real disappointment to not be able to keep going. The story will take you through familiar places in the Minecraft Overworld, including the Nether, the End, and beyond!
