Minecraft: Story Mode shown off in Minecon trailer – Gamereactor United Kingdom

Mojang staff will also be hosting a session talking about some of the new things to watch out for in Minecraft, this includes the exciting Minecraft: Story Mode – a narrative version of the game that will be launched in partnership with Telltale Games.

‘Minecraft: Story Mode’ is an adventure game, by Telltale Games, home of the classic ‘Monkey Island’ as well as ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Walking Dead’ tie-ins. It is a five-part episodic series that will take you to the Nether, the Farlands, the End, and beyond!

You’ll control protagonist Jesse throughout the season, as portrayed by actor Patton Oswalt. These four adventures (Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, Architect) were famed for slaying an Ender Dragon.

Jesse and his companions discover will something is terribly wrong and have to set out to find the Order and save the world.

The previously announced Minecraft: Story Mode by famed developer Telltale Games may be coming very soon, as the developing company itself hinted at a possible major development on the project at the upcoming Minecon event. Also Futurama’s Billy West!

“Telltale’s game series will mix new characters with familiar themes”, the game company previously said.

“The interactive storytellers at Telltale are giving players the chance to explore their own unique interpretation of the Minecraft universe,” added Owen Hill, chief word officer at Mojang. The latest version of Minecraft was revealed during this weekend’s fan event Minecon, the first attended by Microsoft since the company acquired Minecraft and creators Mojang past year for $2.5 billion. It will be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.
