Minister leaves for Maldives following ‘controversial’ interview
Sneior leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Mushahidullah Khan has reportedly sent his resignation to Prime Minister House on Saturday.

“Mushahid Ullah is now in [the] Maldives on an official visit”, Information Minister Perwaiz Rasheed told reporters.
The Minister had given a controversial interview to BBC, the contents of which were contradicted by spokesmen of PM House and Pakistan Army.
Both the Prime Minister’s office and the military denied the claims soon after the interview was published on Friday, however, saying no such tapes existed.
“Later, the army chief asked Islam to leave”, Mushahidullah said.
He claimed that besides the tape, the information from other sources also confirmed that some military officials were part of the conspiracy, which could’ve resulted in “mass destruction”.
When asked where and when these weapons were to be used, the minister said he was informed that some miscreants had already reached PM House for this goal and were waiting for arrival of vehicles.
Major-General Asim Bajwa has strongly rejected the news reports that quoted federal minister Mushahidullah discussing a phone-call-tape to prove that former Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) wanted to take over the government.
He stressed that the prime minister should clear his stance by taking action against his ministers for levelling false allegations if he disagrees with them.
The PM has sought an explanation from the minister on his statement in the interview broadcast by BBC.

The Senator also claimed that the incumbent government had an audio tape obtained by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) in which the former ISI Chief could be heard giving orders to spread chaos with an ultimate objective to overthrow the Nawaz Sharif’s government. “Such rumours are irresponsible, and unprofessional”.
