Minnesota’s ‘Big D’ sparks win over Carolina 22-10

The Minnesota Vikings have definitely learned how to make a statement.

For the rest of the 2nd half, the Vikings ate up the clock with slowing down the speed of the game and making the Panthers exhausted. they could not get the Vikings of the field. “We got to keep it going”.

Griffen fell ill during an 86-degree first half in which the Panthers raced to a 10-0 lead and hogged the ball more than 20 minutes. After displacing Carolina, there should be more belief the Vikings can get there with whatever they have on offense, without Teddy Bridgewater, without Teddy Bridgewater.

Recently, Newton and Carolina’s winning streak ended at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings. This has far more to do with a Vikings defense that leads the National Football League with 15 sacks and is tied for second with five interceptions. So looking at this, maybe the answer is simple, maybe it’s just a result of a tough early schedule, minus Week 2, maybe there’s simply nothing wrong with Carolina.

“I don’t know, these guys (on defense) are all pretty good players”, Zimmer said Monday, a day after the Vikings improved to 3-0 with a 22-10 victory at Carolina. “We feel like we can get after anybody”. The defense destroyed Carolina’s offensive line while the back end of the defense held Panthers receiver Kelvin Benjamin without a catch while being targeted only once.

“I was kind of shocked”, said Simon Gebrekirstos of Charlotte. “I can’t really pinpoint it right now”. “What happened here was very tragic, and what we were hoping to do was be able to come out and put that aside”.

Joseph, who celebrates sacks by pretending to hit a baseball over the fence, insists there is no secret about how he gets to the quarterback.

Greenway said the Vikings depth along the defensive line, which includes players like third-year defensive tackle Shamar Stephen, has helped elevate the Vikings to three straight wins.

“We have individuals who are playing really well and getting great stats, but nobody’s mentality is that here”, Greenway said. So many people were a part of this effort. “We stuck to it a little bit more in the second half”.

Things looked ugly early for Mike Zimmer and the Vikings as a Cam Newton led Panthers offense marched down the field on back to back drives.

“I think our team believes”, Zimmer said.

“I’m a firm a believer of justice”. “They work real hard, they study real hard, they play together as a team”. By using the tall wide receivers on quick-hitting routes, Newton can better take advantage of the height difference he has with guys like Benjamin and Devin Funchess.

“We are continuing to monitor events as we prepare for Sunday’s home game”.

Newton followed regular protocol during the playing of the US national anthem before Carolina’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

D Coaching: Newton was right when he said it was “baffling” that Benjamin had zero touches. In both cases, Panthers offensive coordinator Mike Shula failed. “After the safety, it was good riddance”, Newton said. “Funchess, we weren’t anxious about him”. Kelvin Benjamin and Kony Ealy were non factors though Benjamin didn’t get one thrown to him until the end of the game. Even Robison, who often lines up at defensive tackle in the nickel package in passing situations, hung back in the middle of the field as a spy on Newton, and with only three rushers the Vikings still applied pressure with Griffen and Hunter.

Before the start of this season, if you were told one of these teams would be going into this game at 2-0 and the other at 1-1, chances are you wouldn’t have expected the 2-0 team to be the Vikings.

They came in ranked 32nd in the league in rushing and only had 58 yards rushing against the Panthers without Adrian Peterson.
