The Minnesota Twins today unveiled plans to reconfigure Target Field’s centerfield seating area into multi-level fan gathering spaces featuring great sightlines as well as signature food and beverage options.

The team said the renovations will be finished before the next Opening Day. The venues will be under the Minnie and Paul sign in center field.

“It’s like you move into this nice, new house, then you live there a few years and find a few little things you maybe want to change to enhance the home for your family and friends”, Smith said.

Populous, the Kansas City-based sports architecture firm that led he design of Target Field, is spearheading this upgrade, with Minneapolis-based Mortenson Construction overseeing construction.

The Minnesota Twins 2016 season is still months away, but the ballclub is already making moves to improve the fan experience at Target Field. All ticket holders will have access to the space, with Minnesota-branded food featured.

The area above the batter’s eye in center will divided into two sections, Minnie & Paul’s on the top and the lower level called Catch. “We’re excited to unveil these unique spaces to our fans with a belief that they make the ballpark better”. The lower/Mezzanine level will called CATCH and is an “intimate all-inclusive club with limited access for approximately 120 season ticket members”, the team said.
