Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Make Huge Trade

It’s a shrewd piece of business by Howie Roseman and one that can pay off for the Philadelphia Eagles sooner rather than later. Initially, Wentz was supposed to be put into what equated to a quarterback incubator as a rookie.

“In terms of [which quarterback] we’re going to be playing, that’s a coach’s decision”, Roseman said.

Pederson wasn’t with the Packers when they had Brett Favre and drafted Aaron Rodgers, but he sure knows how it went down.

That plan was thrown out the window when the Minnesota Vikings gave the Eagles an offer they couldn’t refuse.

Bradford has been hampered by injuries throughout his career.

After watching Wentz get slammed to the ground in the team’s first preseason game, protecting the future of the franchise will be of the utmost importance to Philadelphia. Bradford was alienated to the point he stopped practicing and demanded a trade through his agent.

According to reports, Philadelphia Eagles fans should expect to see Carson Wentz starting Week One against the Cleveland Browns. He suffered a hairline fracture August 11 in a preseason game against the Bucs. “Us, we work too hard as our coaches and our scouts, to build this thing and to go out and draft guys and develop guys to just give them away for a guy that may come in here and only be here for seven months”.

“Because of our quarterback depth chart, we got some calls this week”, Roseman said.

The Vikings paid a steep price to add the Oklahoma product, who was scheduled to enter the year as the Eagles’ starting quarterback.

Watt, a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, missed the entire preseason after having back surgery in July.

The two sides of this trade are very different, the face value side is not good and requires a lot of questions and hope in the veteran quarterback.

The ending of the Sam Bradford Era, of course, means the beginning of the Carson Wentz Era isn’t far off. “And I’m not going to go there”.

Wentz, if healthy, would get the start over veteran Chase Daniel on September 11, sources told ESPN’s Adam Caplan on Saturday. And whenever that happens that will happen.

Sam Bradford is a great talent.

“What really was significant for us was the second year of the contract with Sam”. This trade obviously favors the Eagles and the Eagles did a ideal job of taking as much as they could for a QB that hasn’t played up to what he was believed to be originally. The only argument i can understand is the money Bradford is owed next year but if we make a run with him this year we will be having another conversation. That was until Wentz was ready to assume the job a few weeks into the season.
