Minnesota Vikings not ready to name QB starter against Green Bay Packers
After the Minnesota Vikings won their season opener behind veteran quarterback Shaun Hill, one could probably assume that at least a few of his teammates would be completely against the idea of newly-acquired Sam Bradford getting the nod sooner than later.

That’s plenty right there for people to discuss. Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer is quite willing, though, to add more when it comes to not yet having announced his starting quarterback for Sunday night’s game on NBC.
Hill got the start over Sam Bradford, acquired September 3 from Philadelphia. The Vikings will be hoping for a similar bounce-back performance next week in their home-opener against the Green Bay Packers.
The Titans welcome the challenge of the Vikings today, as their defense ranked 12 in the National Football League in yards allowed, so they have confidence that they can stack the box to stop Peterson and force the quarterback to beat them.
Minnesota’s clinching score also came from the defense. But with his play in Week 1, Wentz showed that the rebuild won’t take as long as many thought. It’s a protocol. I think they do a great job, particularly our doctors, of taking it one step at a time.
“I’ve got more knowledge of the game”, Diggs said. “That’s the way we can improve”, Zimmer said. I feel like we made the mistakes on offense. Hill started against Tennessee and completed 18 of 33 passes for 236 yards and no interceptions.
And Hill played well enough Sunday that a coach interested in concealing his starting quarterback decision for another week – say, before a nationally-televised home opener against the team his club dethroned in the NFC North past year – could obtain sufficient cover to do so.
Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer said he appreciates Diggs’ workmanlike attitude, saying he’s tough after the catch and doesn’t mind going after defenders and not shying away from contact. “We definitely are aware of his history and that will factor in on how we move forward”. They averaged just 92.8 yards per game on the ground previous year, but they added DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry to the roster during free agency and the NFL Draft.

In case you missed it, Shaun Hill had a better grasp of the offense than Bradford and the Vikings decided for Week 1, they were going to go ahead and go with the more conservative approach. But he pulled it together and did not miss a field goal attempt in the second half (just an extra point), certainly playing a large part in the Vikings’ victory. “It was close to a first down, but like I said, that 20-something yards there is huge in the field-position game”. “Creating turnovers, creating havoc and putting points on the board, ” Kendricks said about what the defense looks to do.
