The Gateway Grizzlies outfielder hit a grand slam during the second inning of a home game Sunday night in Sauget, Illinois.

After the game, Thomas went out into the parking lot and realized that the vehicle he hit was his own.

A minor league baseball player in IL experienced the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat Sunday night, all in one swing of the bat.

The elation and joy of smashing a grand slam in that moment may have been short-lived for the former New York Yankees minor-leaguer, though.

According to broadcaster Sam Levitt, Thomas’ four-RBI blast connected with the windshield of his own truck.

While this development might have discouraged other players, Thomas isn’t going to let it get him down.

He’ll need to pay for the damages, but Thomas is in good spirits.
