Collins, who plays the angel Castiel, tweeted to his fans Saturday around 4:30 p.m.: “Hey guys!”
Several hours ago, Collins responded on Twitter to the news and all the well-wishes that have come pouring in.
The actor hasn’t confirmed the reports, but he did admit he had “minor scrapes” after fans sent messages of support following the claims by the Hollywood reporter. “I’m totally fine! Love you guys”.
ET has reached out to the Minneapolis Police Department for comment. The headline has been updated to reflect that he sustained the injury not at the convention, but while in Minneapolis for the convention.
