Meg McGuffin, who was representing the Heart of Dixie, declared that Republicans should be “terrified” of Donald Trump, the GOP frontrunner who she felt is an “entertainer”.

Miss Alabama said Republicans should be “terrified” of Donald Trump, but not for the reason you might think. And, if I were a Republican, I would absolutely be terrified of that. “Thank you”.

Betty Cantrell, Miss Georgia, was crowned Miss America 2016 while McGuffin placed in the top five.

Trump, who often responds to his critics on his Twitter account – which boasts more than 4 million followers – has not addressed McGuffin’s comment as of Tuesday morning.

Earlier this year, NBCUniversal refused to air Trump’s Miss United States of America pageant on its NBC and Univision networks after the hotel tycoon made controversial statement about Mexican immigrants while announcing his presidential run.

Other Republicans, including Bush, Christie, Kentucky Sen.

McGuffin’s assessment of Trump as an “entertainer” isn’t far out of line with what some of Trump’s rivals – and even the real estate mogul himself – have said recently.

On Friday, Trump tweeted that he’s now the full owner of the Miss Universe Organization after buying NBCUniversal’s half ownership of the organization, which includes the Miss U.S. pageant.
