Gutierrez hasn’t revealed how she responded to the offer, but she thanked her fans for their support and kindness throughout the post-pageant media frenzy.

Colombians are anxious that their beauty-pageant queen Ariadna Gutierrez may suffer a breakdown because of the embarrassment she faced at Miss Universe contest in Las Vegas on Sunday.
“After the storm, comes the calm”, Gutierrez began her caption, which was written in English. In her message, she thanked her supporters from around the world for giving her strength and that she felt “most fortunate” because of them, according to News.com.au. “She has even admitted that the incident with Penthouse helped rather than hurt her career”, Hirsch wrote.

She went on to praise last year’s Miss Universe victor Paulina Vega, also from Colombia, saying that she was a source of pride in her country, and overseas. “Today because of that COLOMBIA and the LATIN COMMUNITY are being talked about in every corner of the world”, she continued.
“And while she didn’t seem to want to give up the crown when Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo, was announced as the actual victor (can you blame her?), Ariadna was still graceful when she was interviewed after the pageant”.
Really, you do have to admire the way that she’s handling all of this. Not only that, but she called the situation a “nightmare” and said she thought it could be “the worst thing to have ever happened in [Miss Gutierrez’s] life”!
In the comments section of her post, many Filipinos sent their love to her and thanked her for supporting Pia.
And although Harvey may not have been getting any sleep since, Gutierrez, 21, is doing just fine. “I feel awful”, he wrote. “I have to apologise”.
“Steve passed on hosting this pageant twice this year before asking for a pie-in-the-sky fee and expecting the organisers to walk away”.

Harvey then announced that Wurtzbach was, in fact, the victor, and the camera then panned to the contestant, who looked visibly shocked after seeing Gutierrez’s celebration.
