Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez is taking her loss in stride! “Miss Universe 2015 is Miss Philippines”.
“Steve was hired to host the pageant at the last minute, just days before the pageant taped and he didn’t have enough preparation time”, the source said, adding that the 58-year-old had turned down the offer to host the beauty contest earlier this year.
After Chloe got several thousand retweets for her sentiments, she started commenting on who she thought should win, ironically writing that she really wished Miss Philippines would’ve won after Miss Colombia was announced as the victor.
“I was confused. I wasn’t sure what was going on”, Wurtzbach told Entertainment Tonight of Harvey’s epic mix-up. “I think it’s time we cut the swimsuit section from miss Universe.”, she continued.
Chloë then showed her intent for changing the pageant as a whole, wanting to host a Miss Universe show based on interviews, public speaking and “philanthropic tenacity”.
“This moments will always be with me #missuniverse #misscolombia #backtoback Lo logramos COLOMBIA!”, she captioned the photo.
Hilton says his first reaction to the mix-up was that the pageant was “rigged” because he knew he and the other judges had voted for Miss Philippines. Unfortunately, a live telecast means that human error can come into play.
A Colombian law firm also announced that two of its attorneys will be filing a lawsuit, writing in a statement that, “The crown is an acquired right that can not be taken away from us”. Our sincerest apologies to Miss Universe Colombia, Miss Universe Philippines, their families and fans.
