Miss Universe blunder bothers Colombians
Steve Harvey reportedly missed a crucial rehearsal for the Miss Universe finale before his epic blunder of announcing the wrong victor during the live TV broadcast.

The host of the Miss Universe beauty contest says he feels “terrible” for accidentally handing the crown to the runner up.
An embarrassing mix-up at the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday evening is now fodder for presidential campaigns. The ceremony’s host Steve Harvey mistakenly mixed up the winners’ names at the event, where India failed to clinch the title for the 15th straight year.
Steve Harvey read the name of the second-place finisher, Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo, as the new Miss Universe.
Harvey then realized he made a mistake.
Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines was crowned Miss Universe 2015, but only after some stage drama.
“It is my mistake”, he said.
Miss Colombia, left, has been gracious in defeat.
Donald Trump commented on the Miss Universe confusion on Monday morning by saying that he would make both women “co-winners”, reassuring that he sold the pageant. “Miss Philippines is fabulous, and said it beautifully in her communication to ESPN after the show about how sorry she was and how she felt”.
“I was confused. I wasn’t sure what was going on”, Wurtzbach, 26, later told Entertainment Tonight. “But as Miss Columbia was very conservative and also respectful, I would have done as she did”, Miss Santa Barbara County Arianna Lemus said.
Shortly after the pageant, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos tweeted a message of support to Gutierrez.
In a major stuff up, Philippines actually won the 2015 competition. “Still a great night”, Harvey told the audience. Sarah Murdoch was named the wrong victor on Australia’s Next Top Model.

While our jaws were dropping over the final minutes of the Miss Universe pageant, Chloe Grace Moretz had been sounding off about the show long before it nearly broke Twitter Sunday night.
