The host first declared that Miss Colombia won the crown but later revoked it and admitted his mistake and said Miss Philippines was the real victor.

“I was able to bring happiness to my country after becoming Miss Universe for only a couple of minutes…Today because of that COLOMBIA and the LATIN COMMUNITY are being talk about in every corner of that world”.
The whole incident became a major embarrassment for the pageant organisers and also for the host. She said Harvey told her afterward that she “should just enjoy the moment”.
By now, everyone has heard about the awkward moment Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, endured on Sunday’s (Dec. 20) Miss Universe pageant.
However, it was quite true that Miss France, Flora Coquerel, gave a very heartfelt answer to the mishaps her nation was facing.
An East Texas hairstylist was behind the hairstyle for the newly crowned Miss Universe, along with a number of other contestants.
Everyone was talking about Miss Universe 2015 as it went controversial because of Steve Harvey’s wrong announcement.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Wurtzbach expressed her gratitude to supporters, particularly to her countrymen:”Words can’t describe how grateful I am for this”. The happiness that you must be feeling must be incredible.
Was Steve Harvey’s Miss Universe mix-up a publicity stunt?
Yet, nobody was more proud of Ana than her mother who admits that when her daughter gets an idea in her head, there is nothing anyone can do to prevent her from achieving her goal. “The photos are there to prove it”.
Wurtzbach has been handling the official Miss Universe Instagram and Twitter accounts since Wednesday, December 23, three days after being hailed Miss Universe 2015. Although he apologized for his mistake over and over again, Colombia lawyers are allegedly discontent with his apology and are planning to sue the Miss Universe pageant. It was a letdown when the host said he made a mistake.
“Nobody feels worse about this than me”, he said. I don’t want to take away from this unbelievable night and pageant.

So it’s not surprising that Colombia is holding a grudge against Steve Harvey right now, seeing that he robbed them of the chance to win the title once more, at least according to them.
