“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”, Miss Texas U.S, Ylianna Guerra, said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight (ET).

NBC followed suit, cutting ties with Trump by dumping the pageant and removing the billionaire as the host of “Celebrity Apprentice“.
Trump, 69, Mexican immigrants “rapists” who bring “drugs” and “crime” across the border.
The pageant will be broadcast on July 12 from Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Reelz, a channel that sounds like it probably covers serious news with thought and integrity. To recap: In mid-June, while announcing his candidacy for president of the United States, Trump took time to heap insults on immigrants from Mexico.
In his speech, Trump boasted about being “really rich”, being “really proud” of his success, and then referring to others as stupid.
Reelz – which picked up the pageant after NBC dropped it – landed Todd Newton and Alex Wehrley to host. One of Trump’s biggest critics was Jeannie Mai, who co-hosts Trump’s Miss U.S. pageant. Trump is suing Univision for $500 for breach of contract, and Miss US will air on the Reelz Network, which reaches 70 million homes on cable television.
“Miss Universe, the organisation, and I are much more than what that man says on Twitter”, the reigning Miss Universe said of Trump’s tirades. She said Trump damaged the pageant and its tradition of convening countries for an event that showcases “friendship, unity and breaking down cultural barriers”.
But the women who spoke to the AP said they were determined to remain in the pageant and compete despite their personal feelings about Trump’s comments. “I guess it’s um, well, where she stands morally – depending on her stance politically as well” Becky Cofta said.
Mai said at the time that her family supported her decision to stay with the pageant. “The work continues as always despite all this craziness going on”, Miss Universe told her fans.
Like the diverse ethnic backgrounds and cities they represent across the USA, their answers equally differ when it comes to the same question on Donald Trump.
If the Miss Universe Organization shared any anti-Latin sentiments or any type of racial biases, I wouldn’t be in this position today.
“I’ve just learned to roll with the punches, and just be me”, she said!
