Missing east Tennessee 2-year-old found safe in Colorado

Authorities said, “Skyla Wilson is safe and appears to be unharmed, while Michael Wilson has been taken into custody in order to be extradited back to Bradley County”. Skyla was last seen in Cleveland, Tennessee, about 160 miles southeast of Nashville, with her non-custodial father Michael Wilson.

He is accused of abducting his 2-year-old daughter in Bradley County, Tennessee.

WDEF in Chattanooga reports that police in Colorado pulled over her non-custodial father, Michael Wilson, and found the littler girl in the vehicle with him.

Wilson has been placed in the Mesa County Jail, pending extradition, the police department said.

Skyla Wilson was found Wednesday during a multi-agency traffic stop on I-70 in Grand Junction after an anonymous tip, Bradley County [Tennessee] Sheriff Eric Watson explained Friday during a news conference.

Detectives had already spoken with “different people in different states”, Capt. Steve Lawson of the criminal investigations division said during a media conference on the afternoon of August 8.
