The body of a Maryland man who died trying to save his son on Shawano Lake has been recovered, according to Shawano County officials.

A child has been found safe on Shawano Lake, while the search continues for his father.
While his son was able to swim to shallow water and was rescued, Robertson went under the water.
Robertson jumped into the water to help, but then both disappeared under the water as strong currents caused the boat to drift away. The search was suspended Wednesday night, and officials said it was expected to resume Thursday morning. Emergency responders had been searching for Robertson since about 10:48 a.m. Wednesday, when two people were reported missing at Shawano Lake.

Neighbors said Robertson, a psychiatrist who worked in Rockville, also cared for his elderly father.
