Fauna Jackson had initially disappeared on Thursday morning after leaving the trail to go to the bathroom in a wooded area. Search and rescue teams had been combing the area, and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office said the Wyoming Civil Air Patrol helped find her, the AP reports.

A search is underway for a Cincinnati teen who is missing in a Wyoming national park. Fauna Jackson was found near the Snake River Overlook about 4 miles from where she was last seen. It was confirmed to be Jackson’s but her friends say it is not one she was wearing when she went missing yesterday.

Jackson, from Cincinnati, is part of a youth volunteer conservation corps called Groundwork USA. About 20 members of the group were working on a project and were supervised by National Park Service rangers and Groundwork staff.

According to Teton officials, Jackson had changed her appearance by cutting and dying her hair; she also changed into different clothes.

The IMAX Theater at the Science Museum of Minnesota will feature the film that has captured the scenic beauty and outdoor adventures of our nation’s most iconic national parks, including Arizona’s own Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Mead National Recreational Area and Hoover Dam. The technology can detect heat sources emanating from the ground.

The Groundwork USA participants were conducting trail work to assist in a trail reroute project.

Jackson, who was selected to participate in the nine-day program with other teenagers around the country, posted an Instagram photo on Wednesday.
