The world’s fastest man is now a ideal nine-for-nine in Olympic finals.

“I’m the greatest”, stated the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt from Jamaica, who made history last night (Saturday) after winning three gold medals for the third Olympics in a row.

“There you go, I’m the greatest”, said Bolt, who has won gold in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay at the last three Games.

The runners who have lost to Usain Bolt for the past dozen years showered the Jamaican superstar with praise on Friday, after he completed his historic “triple-triple” in what he has said will be his final Olympics.

The U.S. women have retained the 4×100-meter relay title and helped Allyson Felix win her record fifth Olympic gold medal.

De Grasse, from Markham, Ont., Calgary’s Akeem Haynes, Brendon Rodney of Brampton, Ont., and Toronto’s Aaron Brown were upgraded from fourth to bronze when the United States was disqualified for an illegal baton pass.

Rio de Janeiro: Usain Bolt insisted it was “mission accomplished” after signing off with a “triple-triple” in his final Olympic race at the 2016 Rio Games, predicting that his achievements may never be broken.

Felix had been bumped in the preliminary heats and lost the baton, but the USA team protested and got a second chance – a solo re-run that allowed them to qualify on times. He is the first person to get gold in the 4x100m, 100m and 200m at three consecutive Olympic Games. “Relief. I’ve had all this pressure over the years…”

The final act of the Jamaican’s storied career came just about 25 hours before his 30th birthday, and he couldn’t have had himself a better birthday present than achieving the rare feat of a “triple, triple” to celebrate. “I’m going to miss the crowds”.

Nickel Ashmeade, who ran the third leg and handed over to Bolt, said the team had been relaxed about the event.

It topped the bronze medal from the team of 2008 – the first men from Japan to win an Olympic track medal in a sprinting event. I’m just going to go home and stay up late tonight, just talking and having fun. “I never knew this would happen when I started out”, Bolt told BBC Sport. He has so many gold medals right now I can’t even count. I think he’s just looking for attention, because nobody really talks about him.
