Mississippi State QB Prescott gets 1 more chance at Egg Bowl

Over the next two years, his consistently stellar play has turned him into one of most prolific quarterbacks in league history.

“That just really sank in”, said MSU quarterback Dak Prescott, who was a redshirt freshman in 2012. If it’s Ole Miss that walks away with a win, it will mean the Rebels are getting ready for an SEC Championship game or waiting to find out if the Sugar Bowl will be its postseason destination.

Last season, the Ole Miss Landshark defense shutdown Prescott and his Bulldogs offense. The officer was not on duty with our department on Saturday and was employed at the time by the University’s police department.

More than pride and bragging rights could be on the line in this year’s rendition of the Egg Bowl depending on what happens between Auburn and Alabama, which will play in the afternoon. Kelly has thrown 25 touchdowns to 12 interceptions, has 353 rushing yards with nine more scores and is second in the SEC behind Arkansas’ Brandon Allen with a QBR of 85.1.

Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen has said that Prescott’s presence in the program can’t be measured by numbers alone. He’s second in the SEC behind Kelly with 3,159 yards, 23 touchdowns and just three interceptions. But Mississippi State (8-3) is looking to finish off a terrific season with a shot finishing out with ten games – if it wins its bowl.

“If we could get that and the refs don’t blow it dead before we even make a play on the ball, we score”, Louis said. Please help me get this to the media by sharing. “So that sucks and it sinks in and that’s how we felt a year ago”. Prescott looks as if he has greatly improved as a passer this year, and Freeze took note of that on Monday. “He’s a great player, a great leader, a victor, competes at a high level and gives that offense a chance to be really special at times”.

Still, Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly leads the conference with 3,504 passing yards. I don’t know. I typically don’t hear those. And yes, we were abused after the game by Rebel fans.

Since the teams appear fairly equal, one advantage sticks out: Mississippi State is at home.

After last season’s 10-7 loss in Baton Rouge-and the possibility that he will leave for the upcoming NFL Draft-Treadwell wanted to cherish the win over LSU. That puts them within striking distance for Ole Miss and State, both of whom are hoping to overtake them for a spot in the Sugar Bowl. The one who dominates the Egg Bowl deserves the First Team All-SEC recognition. “When I got here, I wanted to make sure everybody understood how big a game it was for us”. “It’s going to be fun”.
