Access Hollywood has confirmed that the rapper will bring her “Supa Dupa Fly” skills to the NBC reality competition series as Team Pharrell’s advisor.
Season 9 of The Voice is about to get its freak on! The publication also reported that Elliott and William have been spotted recently as they were busy rehearsing for the battle rounds.
Pharrell and Elliott will be a force to be reckoned with considering the two already have such a strong chemistry (and both hail from coastal Virginia).
During past seasons, Pharrell appointed Lionel Richie and Alicia Keys to guide his team of contestants. Currently, the Happy singer is working with the Work It rapper on her new album, so it makes ideal sense that the duo will coach together!
Meanwhile, other celebrity mentors include Selena Gomez for Gwen Stefani’s team, Brad Paisley for Blake Shelton’s group and John Fogerty for Adam Levine’s contestants. “This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers”, NBC boss Bob Greenblatt said of Rihanna joining the show.
