MIT Ranked No. 1 as Best Engineering Graduate School in US
The U.S. News list also ranked individual engineering disciplines across universities; top honors went to MIT for aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, electrical/electronics/communications engineering (tied with Stanford and Berkeley), materials engineering, and mechanical engineering (tied with Stanford).

The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in the School of Art is fiteenth among all public universities, the College of Nursing’s master’s program is now twenty-fifth among all public universities and the College of Social Work’s program climbed three spots to be ranked nineteenth among all public universities.
And it’s the specialty rankings where UT was in the top 20 for graduate programs. Of those, 259 responded and were deemed eligible for ranking. The collaborative biosystems engineering program that involves both engineering and agriculture is ranked 25th among national colleges. The first-ever D.N.P. class graduated in 2009.
Several of UT’s overall graduate programs surged ahead in the 2017 list.

Its first nurse anesthesia doctoral students were admitted in summer 2014. “Being ranked among the top nursing schools is an extremely competitive and rigorous process”.
The U.S. News & World Report rankings of law schools fully accredited by the American Bar Association are based on a weighted average of 12 measures of quality.
