Kasich gave Trump a scare in Vermont Tuesday, falling just 1,400 votes shy of the Republican front-runner there.
Even in Rubio’s home state of Florida, he is polling far behind Trump.
When pressed on what exactly his “excuses” for supporting Trump would be, Rubio responded, “He makes it hard to answer that question because of the way he behaves”.
On a day when the Republican establishment was in chaos over the prospect of Trump landing the GOP nomination, Cruz, Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich all said they would support Trump if he won primary election battle.
WALLACE: Mr. Trump, I’m going to ask you a version of the same question.
Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), have argued that Trump is unsuitable for the presidency. Cruz called on Trump to authorize the New York Times to release an off-the-record interview in which Trump reportedly showed flexibility on his immigration position, and he lectured Trump on the need to learn not to interrupt.
“He’s trying to do to the American voter what he did to the people who signed up for this course”, Rubio said.
“God bless Kansas”, Cruz told supporters in Idaho after securing a victory in Kansas. “I am here today with a word of hope and encouragement”.

Rubio spoke hours after what may have been the raunchiest presidential debate ever, one in which the front-running Trump made reference to his male endowment.
