MLS All-Star squad named to face Arsenal
Major League Soccer today announced that Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski and goalkeeper David Bingham are among 26 players named to the 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star Gameday Roster set to compete against Arsenal at Avaya Stadium in San Jose on Thursday, July 28. Five MLS teams have at least two players on the team. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Besler was selected to the 26-player MLS All-Star gameday roster Sunday, a presumptive decision after he was part of the fan vote unveiled earlier this month.
Bayern Munich, Roma, Chelsea and Manchester United have also played in the All-Star game over the past few years.
Farrell holds a special place in New England history as he is the first-ever number one pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft. Bingham holds a 23-20-15 career record with 16 shutouts.
Vincent, a Valencia, Calif., native, earned his first senior worldwide cap for the United States as a second half substitution in a 1-0 win over Canada on February 5, 2016.
Dempsey, who has scored three goals and added an assist in 12 league games this season, was chosen by All-Star Game coach Dominic Kinnear – while taking into consideration the fan and player voting.
As expected, USA national team players were well represented, led by Seattle forward Clint Dempsey, Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe, Sporting Kansas City defender Matt Besler and Colorado’s Jermaine Jones, who said he might not play because of a leg injury.

Mauro Diaz and Kyle Beckerman are also in the side via the Commissioner’s two picks.
