Becky’s boss Lucious (Terence Howard), the head of Empire Records, will start the year in prison for murder.
But Sidibe’s blossoming love life is not the only thing happening in season 2.
According to E! News, appearing at Carey’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony recently, Daniels announced that the five-time Grammy Award-winning singer is set to guest star on “Empire” Season 2.
There’s also a possibility that the highly-successful show will have a spin-off as revealed by Daniels at the Television Critics’ Association’s summer press tour.
Empire returns to Fox on September 23 in the US. The show’s finale garnered a total of 16.7 million viewers with a 6.5 rating. Andre and his mother Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will try to take advantage of the situation to gain back control of the family company.
