‘Moana’: Polynesian princess not impressed by Dwayne Johnson in first teaser

Likely building off the hype from hit musical Hamilton’s creator’s big night at the Tony Awards last night, Disney has released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming animated film, Moana. The movie, which told the story of a rabbit police officer and fox criminal who must combine forces, was well-received by critics and is now the fourth-highest-grossing film of the year domestically.
We also see a couple of other characters in the trailer – a moving tattoo on Maui’s chest and Moana’s pet pig, named Pua.
The movie features music written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina.
The film hits USA theaters on Thanksgiving weekend – November 24, 2016 – and among other things features original music by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of Hamilton, who just cleaned up at the Tony Awards.
