Right now, T-Mobile boasts of offering the cheapest plan to date at less than a hundred dollars while it can cost you more (over a $1,000!) on other mobile carriers like AT&T and Verizon.
Simple Global allows postpaid customers on T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plans to enjoy unlimited low-speed data and texting for free outside of the USA , as well as flat-rate calls that cost 20 cents per minute.
The latest places to join the Simple Global program are Albania, Alderney, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Belarus, Bosnia, Georgia, Guernsey, Haiti, Isle of Man, Jersey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lichtenstein, Macedonia, Monaco, Montenegro, Sark, Serbia and Slovenia.
Simple Global takes aim at the carriers’ practice of jacking up their customers’ rates as soon as they step across a border. And that’s with an global add-on in qualified countries. If you’re unlucky enough to need to travel elsewhere or forget the add-on, they could hit you for $2.05 per megabyte-which works out to a mind-boggling $2099.20 for a single gigabyte of data.
145 countries are now available for roaming with Simple Global, and T-Mobile says that covers about 90 percent of the destinations its customers visit, including the Bahamas, which it said is a particularly popular destination. “We’ve just made your traveling even easier in 20 more destinations around the world, expanding Simple Global to cover all of Europe and all of South America”, John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile, said in a statement.
A list of countries supported by the new expansion has been provided on the carrier’s website. According to RCR Wireless, past year United States businesses paid a mind blowing $7.3 billion to U.S. carriers for their employees’ wireless data roaming charges. With the expansion of Simple Global, announced today, 20 additional countries are now included in the plan.

The company has used this roaming plan in an effort to differentiate itself from competitors who charge their users additional costs when travelling outside the borders.
