After its launch, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge got rave reviews from technical experts primarily because of the “notable upgrades” that the devices got.

Some of us did not believe that it would be possible, especially that Galaxy S7/ S7 edge do not bring any innovative features into the mix, except for the camera.

The company has recently released the Samsung Galaxy S7, and here’s a look at how the Samsung Galaxy S7 stands when compared to the predecessor, Samsung Galaxy S6, and against its primary competition – the iPhone 6S.

While T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T are offering pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, other carrier companies like Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile have announced that they are selling the new smartphones to customers on March 11. This time, they have removed Samsung Pay from the Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. But the Galaxy S7 seems to be even more hard; iFixit says that in order to replace or fix parts on the device, you’ll have to deal with the good chance that the screen’s going to crack. The S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch display, is waterproof and has a 12 MP camera.

The lack of updated Galaxy smartphones in the market will give Samsung room to run with its new S7 and S7 edge smartphones, Kantar Worldpanel said in a new report. The customer will have to pay for the more expensive S7 Edge if taking an S7 for free. Both these improvements aim to make Samsung Galaxy S7’s camera a formidable low-light shooter. CNET, for example, called the S7 “the phone to beat”, while Yahoo said the devices are “the best smartphones, period”. That’s if you want it for free, you can instead use the credit to purchase an S7 edge if you splurge some extra.

This was despite the company’s mobile division actually recording slim profits for the second consecutive quarter following a period of some turmoil, a trend which the new devices are hoped to continue.
