Mobile introduces Binge On free video streaming
T-Mobile says there are no financial arrangements with video providers to be included, and any service can qualify by meeting technical requirements the company is posting online. T-Mobile has been more aggressive than either AT&T or Verizon both in terms of monthly service pricing as well as promotions on new devices. The biggest culprit for data usage is video, the streaming of which is projected to rise by 400 percent by 2020.

“Binge On is a win-win as it will optimize video for mobile viewing at 480p, which is approximately 2.2X more efficient than HD coming over the network, with minimal difference in viewing experience”. They still can avail of T-Mobile’s optimized stream, which will give them three times as many videos to watch than usual.
Customers on data plans of less than 3 GB, which are now the data buckets provided at no additional charge on the carrier’s Simple Choice rate plans, will have data from those streaming services deducted from their data buckets. Not all of the big-name services such as YouTube have signed on board yet although customers can nominate services they’d like to see added. T-Mobile is introducing a new feature that will allow its customers to stream video from Netflix, HBO and more without it cutting into their mobile data plan. T-Mobile already offers free music-streaming in a bid to lure customers away from its rivals.
T-Mobile is breaking the molds that have constrained the cellular industry since its inception.
The country’s third-largest wireless carrier is making a play to woo customers from Verizon and AT&T- and it’s all about streaming video.
Customers using Binge On will get one free movie rental per month from Vudu.
On Tuesday, T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere took the stage in Los Angeles to announce a few new services for T-Mobile. Users will be able to start using the service as early as Sunday.
Which makes the streaming free – to a certain extent.

Legere helped answer various questions about the Binge On plan from members in attendance at the event, including one customer who asked if porn would be streamed as well.
