Mobile’s top brass warns some iPhone owners against iOS 10 upgrades

T-Mobile is warning its United States customers that if they own an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone SE, they should avoid upgrading to iOS 10. Some T-Mobile users aren’t that fortunate it seems as they are facing connectivity issues after updating their devices to the latest and greatest software update from Apple.

Apple is working to resolve the problem, but in the meantime, customers should avoid the update. It comes on the heels of an iOS 10 glitch that froze some iPhones on Tuesday – it’s unclear whether that issue, which Apple said was resolved, is related.

It does end up fixing the problem for a while but having to restart your phone multiple times a day is a nuisance, to say the least. For those who have already upgraded to iOS 10, the temporary solution is to completely reboot the iPhone, although this only works for a short time before the device loses connection again. That was causing some iOS devices that were updated over the air to be temporarily bricked. Around 14.5% of users had updated within the first 24 hours, up on what iOS 9 achieved, and still a pipe dream for Android.
