Mobile US calling plans to cover Canada and Mexico
The carrier announced that it added an impressive 2.1 million customers during Q2, bringing its total subscriber count to nearly 59 million customers.

Who is eligible and how do i sign up? There’s no charge. The new strategy takes effect subsequent Wednesday.
What does it include? Once it’s set up, T-Mobile’s plan roams across those borders with you. Customers who are first generation immigrants and want to stay in touch with far-flung family members can also benefit financially by reducing their monthly call costs.
“Making a call or using your phone in Mexico and Canada and the U.S.is just like going out of state”, Legere adds. These firms have agreed to full roaming coverage and the same amount of cellular data pack which they had in the U.S. The roaming package also does away with extra taxes for those calling from the U.S.to Canada, or Mexico.
How does that compare to what i paid before?
But there’s no indication that T-Mobile aims to pick up new subscribers in Canada or Mexico with this latest announcement.
T-Mobile also enjoys a minimum rate of subscribers leaving the network, which indicates that customers are happy with the service or at least bothered less than others. That can be adequate for e mail, but it is painfully slow for Internet surfing.
In a major move T-Mobile announced that it will offer payment plans which include no roaming charges to Canada or Mexico. Verizon, for example, has a 1,000 shared minutes add-on for calls to Canada and Mexico for an added $10 per month. You’ll pay an extra $10 a month for up to 3GB of LTE. Calls to landlines and cell phones are both included, T-Mobile said, noting that the changes will be active beginning on July 15. As always, however, beware the fine print in any wireless plan, especially when choosing primarily on the basis of worldwide travel.
T-Mobile is calling the initiative “Mobile without Borders”, as it looks to challenge the US wireless industry yet again through a recent series of upgrades under its “Uncarrier Amped” campaign.
While competitors struggle to buy foreign companies in order to expand their customer base, T-Mobile will expand using what could be quite a revolutionary offer. As usual, there are some asterisks, but, as they often are for T-Mobile, the downsides aren’t too bad.
It’s equivalent to bargains USA carriers make with every other to let buyers roam for cost-free on a rival network when the customer’s own network has no coverage.

T-Mobile wouldn’t provide details on the deal or say whether they are exclusive to T-Mobile.
