Model Chloe Goins sues Bill Cosby over alleged 2008 Playboy Mansion assault

Chloe Goins, 25, said Tuesday that she’s acting on behalf of Cosby’s other alleged victims, women who – unlike her – can not take legal action against the disgraced comedian because too much time has passed. Last week the LAPD handed their investigation findings to the District Attorney for review. The case alleges he drugged and sexually assaulted former Playboy bunny Judy Huth more than 40-years when she was just 15-years-old. When she awoke, she found herself naked on a bed with Cosby biting her toes and his trousers around his ankles and masturbating, according to her attorney, Spencer Kuvin.

Her civil complaint lays out these same facts, and also summarizes the individual stories of 40 of the other women who’ve accused Cosby, to establish a pattern of behavior.

The AP doesn’t normally identify people who say they are victims of sexual abuse, but Goins has come forward publicly in the lawsuit and at a January news conference.

For the first time, 27 of Bill Cosby’s accusers joined together in the same room for an exclusive group interview to share their harrowing – and many strikingly similar – stories. “I do not know if this will cause Mr. Cosby to break his silence or not”. Under California’s statute of limitations, rape, penetration or rape of genital or anal openings by foreign object, or forcible acts of sexual penetration reported within 10 years of occurrence can be prosecuted.

Goins says she has suffered permanent emotional distress, psychological and psychiatric trauma, and loss of self-esteem as a result of the alleged assault, which has also led her “into a perverse and unhealthy way of life”. He settled a previous case out of court in 2005 and has never been charged with any crime relating to the accusations.
