Modern Family Star Jesse Tyler Ferguson Has Cancer Removed From His Face
Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has revealed he has received treatment for cancer.

In an Instagram posted Tuesday, the actor revealed he had a possible skin cancer lesion on his face, which was removed by doctors after detection. He maintained a sense of humor about the situation, posting,”Thank you to Dr. Bennett & his entire team for taking the cancer out of my face”.
He didn’t go into further detail about the nature of the cancer. “Both actors also used their posts to promote sunscreen use (note Ferguson’s “#spf75” comment), which can help prevent skin cancer. The Modern Family star was able to get everything fixed due to early detection. He added a message to the hit show’s makeup team, saying, “Good luck hiding the stitches tomorrow”, along with the hashtags #youwannapieceofme #phantommask #spf75.
Throughout the years Jesse Tyler Ferguson has lent his hand to the important organization Stand Up To Cancer.

Ferguson is now filming the seventh season of the award-winning ABC comedy. A longstanding advocate for marriage equality, Ferguson co-founded Tie The Knot in 2012 with his husband, where they design limited edition bow ties with all the proceeds going to various organizations that fight for civil rights for gay and lesbian Americans.
