“May the Almighty bless PM Narendra Modi with good health, happiness and many more years of dedicated service to the nation”.
Reports said that party leaders are also conducting cleanliness drive, public awareness programmes on Swachh Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and other welfare programmes initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in grassroots level.
Prime Minister Modi is now in Gujarat on a two day-trip as he received wishes from all over the country for his 66th birthday.
Later in the day, the PM visited Navsari and created history by distributing aid to more than 11,000 Divyangs (differently abled) at a single venue.
“We took up this task of empowering the last man on the line, so that he can also uplift the lives of others”, Modi said. We plan to ensure that the “Narendra Modi app” is downloaded in at least half a million mobile phones in the State. “Please score a century in ur life&also make this India’s century”.
Common people also marked the PM’s birthday in different ways.
Modi responded: “Sehwag Ji, you are very kind”. These include 1,000 oil lamps lit by differently-abled at one time, a formation by 1,000 wheelchair-bound persons and distribution of hearing aid to 1,000 beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister on the occasion visited Mahatma Gandhi Leprosy Ashram and appealed to citizens to serve the needy.
Giving details of a new initiative by the Ministry, Modi said it has set up a special lab for developing common sign language for the visually-impaired.
Modi is likely to hold a meeting with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and BJP leaders of Gujarat where state assembly elections are scheduled for next year.
