The campaign, which starts on the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar on April 14 and concludes on the Panchayati Raj Day on April 24, will create awareness about various schemes.
From 14th to 16th April, a “Social Harmony Programme” will be conducted in all Gram Panchayats.
Mr Chouhan said that a nodal officer would be appointed for each panchayat to monitor progress of the schemes. The Minister said, people should resolve to strengthen social harmony in the country which will be a true tribute to him. Information regarding the various schemes of the government to foster social justice will be provided. “A national meeting of tribal women panchayat presidents from 10 states will also be held at Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh on April 19”, Birender Singh said. On 24th April 2016, Panchayati Raj Day will be celebrated at Jamshedpur, which will be attended by selected Panchayat representatives from the country.
