Modi Urges Americans to Invest in India’s 3 Ds

Prime Minister Modi arrived in the USA last Wednesday on an official visit during which he travelled to Silicon Valley and met top IT CEOs of the region. India is the second most populous country in the world. The prime minister told the audience that women were vital to India’s future, noting his mother’s struggle to support her family.

The BJP leader said that Modi was trying to raise, through the use of modern technology, the economy of undernourished parts of India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his press statement by recalling mutual visits to Washington and New Delhi He then went on to say that youth, technology and innovation are the driving forces for the natural partnerships of Indians and Americans in advancing human progress. “I come from the land of Mahatma Gandhi and the Buddha, the icons of peace”, he said. According to the BBC, more than 20,000 people turned out to support him, although there were also protesters present, who blame Modi for not doing more to prevent the killing of Muslims during the 2002 Gujarat riots.
