With the coming of the “Minecraft” update, the Pocket Edition and Windows 10 Edition are expected to be brought even closer.
Many of you out there signed up for the beta program for Minecraft: Pocket Edition when it first started. The update is called the Boss Update, and it will add two new boss characters to the game, as well as new building materials and slash commands.
Although this update focuses on boss battles, and is even named “Boss Update”, Microsoft said little about the boss fights themselves.
Thanks to the incoming update, survival players will soon be in for a treat, as Ocean Monuments will be discoverable, meaning you can soon enjoy adventuring in the new, rare locations with your friends beneath the sea. In other places, there’s also the three-headed The Wither to ruin your day.
Creative players will benefit from the ability to use new blocks in their creations from the introduction of these new gameplay features – they’ll be able to light up their creations with beacons and sea lanterns, build with prismarine blocks and decorate with sponges.

Microsoft announced that a future Minecraft update will allow players to test their mettle in two major boss battles. The aforementioned slash commands will allow users to make minor alterations to the world by typing the proper instructions into a command line. Available on mobile devices, as well as Windows 10, Minecraft is being taken care of by the folks over at Mojang, a company that’s working under Microsoft’s umbrella. The update is already available on Android, but only as beta. Dubbed Boss Update, the next content expansion coming to Minecraft brings quite a lot of new features and improvements.
